3 DIY scrub recipes for smooth and soft lips.

3 recettes de gommages DIY pour des lèvres lisses et douces.
For your lips, the rule is the same as for your face and your body, sometimes you have to exfoliate them! The skin on your lips is super delicate, and since it doesn't have oil or sweat glands, it dries out faster and can crack from time to time. Exfoliating your lips once a week or so will help smooth them and remove dead skin. Some brands offer exfoliating sticks but we have three homemade scrub recipes to reveal to you that will please your wallet!
Homemade Gourmet Lip Scrub with Honey and Sugar
If you're a fan of sweet treats, this scrub is made for you! Take a little liquid honey with your little finger to form a large drop of honey at the end. Then, gently roll it into a small saucer where you will have put a teaspoon of very fine powdered sugar. You should get a scoop of honey and sugar on your fingertip. Rub this preparation on your lips with small circular movements. Go over several times and focus on dead skin to make it disappear, then rinse with lukewarm water. If necessary, finish by gently massaging your lips with a soft toothbrush.
Nourishing Homemade Lip Scrub with Coconut Oil
If you're craving a rich, exotic scrub, try this deliciously coconut-scented recipe! Coconut oil is known for its nourishing and soothing properties. In addition to exfoliation, this scrub will deeply hydrate your lips. You will need honey, fine powdered sugar, and coconut oil. In a small bowl, mix a dash of honey, half a teaspoon of fine powdered sugar, and half a teaspoon of coconut oil. If the coconut oil is solid, you can melt it in a bain-marie to make mixing easier. Take this scrub on your finger and massage your lips with circular movements. Then rinse with lukewarm water.
Simple White Clay Scrub
If you're in a hurry or prefer something neutral, here's a very simple recipe with just one ingredient: white clay, a must-have for a slow bathroom. You can practice this exfoliation by gently rubbing a toothbrush dipped in white clay on your damp lips. Yes, it tickles a little, but it's very effective! Then, rinse your exfoliated lips well with lukewarm water. Make sure to rinse well as the clay should not stay on your lips.

After exfoliating, remember to moisturize your lips! As for your body and your face, it will nourish them, protect them and preserve the benefits of exfoliation. Shea butter is a great natural ingredient to moisturize your lips. Apply it with your fingertip after your exfoliation, and even daily if you feel that your lips need a little attention. You can also use Sat & Stone California Mint Moisturizing Lip Balm , an all-natural, organic and hydrating balm that leaves lips soft and protected with a matte finish.

As you can see, it’s super easy to make your own homemade lip scrub! Now that you have the recipe, don't forget to do this scrub regularly, about once a week, to keep your lips soft.
