Last updated: October 15, 2026.
1. Seller information and scope
The online store www.browlab.fr, operating under the Browlab trade name, is published by GROUPE SCHAZ, a French simplified joint-stock company (SAS) with €2,000 share capital, registered with the Auch Trade and Companies Register under number 949 869 846, with its registered office at 89 route du Serrot, 32810 Leboulin, France. Intra-Community VAT number: FR 04 949 869 846.
For any question about an order, email hello@browlab.fr or use our contact form.
These terms and conditions of sale apply to orders placed by consumers through the Browlab online store. They do not affect mandatory consumer protections, including those applying to consumers resident in other countries.
2. Products, information and availability
Browlab sells beauty and cosmetic products, accessories and electronic gift cards, among other products. Essential characteristics and, where relevant, precautions for use are described on product pages. Photographs are illustrative and do not change the contractual characteristics expressly stated.
Offers are subject to stock availability or any conditions stated on the product pages. If a product becomes unavailable after an order is placed, Browlab will contact the customer to propose a solution consistent with applicable law, including a refund if the order cannot be fulfilled.
3. Prices, taxes and charges
Prices are displayed in the currency offered for the relevant destination. Applicable taxes and any additional fees are shown before final payment confirmation. Shipping charges depend on the destination, selected method and, where applicable, the order value.
For destinations outside the European Union, customs procedures, duties, taxes or import charges may apply depending on the country and sales terms. Any amounts collected at checkout are shown during the ordering process. Charges not collected at checkout may be payable on import under applicable rules.
Promotions and discount codes are subject to the conditions announced for each offer and cannot necessarily be combined.
4. Placing and confirming an order
Before confirming an order, the customer can review the products selected, quantities, shipping details, any charges and the total amount, and correct entry errors. The order is confirmed by completing the payment confirmation process as indicated during checkout.
After confirmation, an order summary is sent to the email address provided. The customer is responsible for supplying accurate information and checking their email. Order records and confirmations are retained in accordance with applicable law.
Where there is an obvious error, a justified suspicion of fraud or an inability to fulfil an order, Browlab may contact the customer to seek an appropriate solution while respecting their statutory rights.
5. Payment
Available payment methods are those offered at checkout. Instalment payment options or country-specific payment services may be offered by third-party providers; their availability, eligibility criteria and terms are shown before payment confirmation. Payments are processed through secure systems provided by the relevant service providers.
If a payment is declined, the order cannot be definitively confirmed. Personal data is processed in accordance with our privacy policy.
6. Delivery and transfer of risk
Browlab ships orders to the destinations available at checkout. Carriers, rates, any free-shipping thresholds, estimated delivery times and tracking arrangements are detailed in our shipping policy and on our Shipping page.
Orders are prepared Monday through Friday, excluding public holidays. Estimated transit times start when the carrier takes possession of the parcel and may not include order preparation time. Where a delivery date or deadline is given before the contract is concluded, Browlab undertakes to meet it. Where no specific period has been agreed, delivery is made no later than 30 days after the contract is concluded, in accordance with applicable law.
Where the selected shipping method involves a collection point, the customer selects it after payment on the order confirmation page, as explained on the website. If no point is selected, an available collection point near the delivery address may be assigned in accordance with the conditions announced.
For consumer sales, the risk of loss or damage passes when the customer or a third party designated by them, other than the carrier offered by Browlab, takes physical possession of the goods, subject to statutory exceptions.
If a parcel is delayed, damaged or marked as delivered but not received, contact hello@browlab.fr so that Browlab can investigate and, if necessary, follow up with the carrier. The customer's statutory rights remain in force.
7. Right of withdrawal and returns
For products eligible for withdrawal, Browlab grants a voluntary period of 15 days from the day after receipt of the order to notify us of withdrawal without stating a reason, subject to statutory exceptions. This is more favourable than the statutory minimum of 14 days.
The customer may withdraw by any unequivocal statement to Browlab, including via our Contact page or by emailing hello@browlab.fr. Goods must then be returned within 14 days after that notification. Practical return arrangements, refund terms and the model withdrawal form are available in our returns and refunds policy.
Mainland France and Corsica: Browlab covers change-of-mind return shipping costs where products are eligible for return, the order was delivered to those areas and the products are returned from those areas in accordance with the instructions provided.
Other destinations, including French overseas territories: Direct change-of-mind return costs are payable by the customer, subject to any mandatory legal provisions.
Opened or unsealed cosmetic products: Under Article L221-28(5) of the French Consumer Code, products unsealed after delivery that cannot be returned for hygiene or health protection reasons are excluded from the right of withdrawal. In particular, RevitaLash products have a sealed plastic film around the box, which is their only protection against opening. If this film is removed or broken after delivery, a change-of-mind return is excluded for the hygiene and health protection reasons explained in our returns policy. This exception does not affect statutory guarantees relating to defects or lack of conformity.
For a valid withdrawal, refunds are issued under applicable statutory conditions and time limits, in particular no later than 14 days after notification of withdrawal; we may defer the refund until receipt of the goods or proof that they have been sent back, whichever occurs first. The refund is made through the original payment method unless another free method is expressly agreed and includes initial standard delivery charges where required by law.
8. Browlab electronic gift cards
The Browlab electronic gift card is a digital product emailed after purchase; no physical card is dispatched. It carries a unique code for use on the Browlab online store in one or more orders, up to the available balance. The validity period stated on the product page is one year. The validity and usage conditions provided at purchase apply.
Statutory rights applicable to electronic gift card purchases, including any available withdrawal right, are preserved. Partial use of the balance and any cancellation or refund requests are assessed under applicable law and the terms actually communicated at purchase. An electronic gift card is not a delivery method for physical goods.
9. Statutory guarantees and non-conforming products
Products sold benefit from applicable statutory guarantees, including the legal guarantee of conformity under Articles L217-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code and the guarantee against hidden defects under Articles 1641 et seq. of the French Civil Code. These rights are separate from withdrawal and do not disappear solely because a cosmetic product has been opened or unsealed.
To report a defect or lack of conformity, contact hello@browlab.fr with your order number and a description of the issue. Costs necessary to enforce statutory guarantees are covered as required by law. These rights do not depend on any optional commercial warranty.
Clarification about the shelf life of cosmetic products
The two-year statutory period for asserting a lack of conformity does not mean that a cosmetic product is guaranteed to remain stable or usable for two years. Expected properties and shelf life depend on the nature of the product, information given at purchase and manufacturer guidance.
Depending on the product, the packaging may indicate a date of minimum durability or a period after opening (PAO), often shown by an open-jar symbol. The manufacturer's instructions for use and storage must be followed.
The normal expiry of the period after opening, or the mere end of an announced shelf-life period, does not by itself constitute a lack of conformity. Conversely, products already deteriorated on delivery, unfit for normal use or deteriorating prematurely may qualify under statutory guarantees, depending on the circumstances.
These explanations do not restrict statutory consumer rights. The presumption under Article L217-7 of the French Consumer Code applies, subject to the exception where that presumption is incompatible with the nature of the goods or the alleged defect.
Legal guarantee of conformity: For a lack of conformity, consumers may invoke this guarantee against the seller for two years after delivery of the goods. During that period, consumers need only show that the goods lack conformity; they need not prove when the defect arose.
If goods include digital content or a service supplied continuously for longer than two years, rights relating to that digital component apply throughout the stated supply period. Where applicable, the seller must provide updates needed to maintain conformity.
Consumers may request repair or replacement free of charge and without major inconvenience. The goods must be brought into conformity within 30 days of the request. A repair under this guarantee extends the remaining guarantee period by six months. Where consumers request repair but the seller ultimately imposes replacement, a fresh two-year legal guarantee of conformity begins upon delivery of the replacement.
In circumstances provided by law, consumers may obtain a price reduction while keeping the goods or terminate the sale and receive a refund in exchange for returning them. These remedies are available in particular if the seller refuses repair or replacement, conformity is not restored within 30 days, the remedy causes major inconvenience or the defect persists after an attempt to restore conformity.
A sufficiently serious defect may justify an immediate price reduction or termination without first requesting repair or replacement. A minor defect alone does not allow termination. Any period during which goods are unavailable for required repair or replacement suspends the remaining guarantee period until conforming goods are returned.
These rights are provided by Articles L217-1 to L217-32 of the French Consumer Code. A seller who obstructs their exercise in bad faith is exposed to the civil penalties specified by Article L241-5 of that Code.
Guarantee against hidden defects: Consumers may also bring a claim under Articles 1641 to 1649 of the French Civil Code within two years after discovering a hidden defect. Subject to the legal conditions, they may retain the goods and receive a price reduction or return them and recover the purchase price.
10. Liability and health information
Browlab takes reasonable care over the information on the website, including product descriptions and recommendations. This information does not replace individual medical advice. Manufacturer instructions, precautions and restrictions must be followed. Nothing in these terms limits statutory consumer rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
11. Intellectual property
Texts, photographs, graphic works and other original Browlab content are protected by applicable intellectual property law. Third-party trademarks and other distinctive signs remain the property of their owners.
12. Personal data
Personal information collected in connection with orders is used for the purposes, on the legal bases and in the ways described in our privacy policy. Cookie preferences can be managed on our Cookies page.
13. Complaints and consumer mediation
If you encounter a problem, first send a written complaint to hello@browlab.fr or through our Contact page. We will review your request and seek an amicable resolution.
Consumer mediation – appointment in progress: GROUPE SCHAZ is taking the necessary steps to appoint a consumer mediator. Details of the competent mediator and how to submit a request will be published in these terms once the relevant agreement has been concluded.
14. Applicable law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law, without depriving consumers living in other countries of any mandatory consumer protection available under applicable law. Statutory out-of-court and judicial remedies remain available in the event of a dispute.
15. Changes to these terms
The terms applicable to an order are those communicated to the customer when the order is confirmed. Subsequent changes do not apply retrospectively to existing contracts, except where required by law or agreed in a legally valid manner.
