Key ingredients and what they do

Plant keratin refers here to a blend of hydrolyzed plant proteins and amino acids used to care for the hair fibre. The formula includes wheat and soy proteins as well as rice amino acids. Glycerin is a humectant that helps retain moisture, while panthenol supports a softer feel. It also contains a copper peptide. The idea is to combine cleansing agents with conditioning ingredients during the washing step, before applying a detangling treatment. This does not mean a shampoo can permanently reverse existing hair damage: it works best as part of a suitable hair care routine.

Frequently asked questions about Molecular Repair Shampoo

Who is this shampoo for?

It is designed for damaged, weakened or breakage-prone hair. If your lengths are fragile, follow your wash with a suitable conditioner.

How do I use it?

Massage a small amount into your scalp and roots. Leave on briefly, then rinse thoroughly.

Should I use a conditioner afterwards?

The brand recommends following with Molecular Repair Conditioner or the leave-in mask from the same range, depending on your routine. Shampoo cleanses; it is not a detangling treatment on its own.

Does it contain sulfates?

Yes. The official INCI list includes Sodium Laureth Sulfate, a cleansing surfactant. If you specifically avoid sulfates, this is not the right shampoo for you.

How is it different from a repair mask?

You rinse shampoo out after cleansing your scalp and hair. A mask focuses on caring for the lengths and does not replace cleansing.
